A Big Life Update!

A Big Life Update!

Family, friends, colleagues, partners —

I’m writing to you with a big life update: after 15 years at York Wallcoverings, I am beginning a new chapter of my life.

I had my first taste for working at York Wallcoverings when I was just 16 years old — I remember running in factories, cutting samples for customers and watching artists create beautiful patterns for walls. I worked in other industries, but ultimately York Wallcoverings was where I was destined to end up. This experience has been so much more than just a job to me. Being a leader at York Wallcoverings has given me the opportunity to continue shaping my family’s legacy of over 40 years by having a role in this inspiring brand — a beautifully crafted, American made product from York, Pennsylvania that is over 125 years old.

It has been the honor of my lifetime to help build something so meaningful for our family, friends, partners, customers, and community. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to work in a creative environment with people I admire and respect deeply. We dreamed big, worked hard and made the impossible possible. I am so proud of what we created and I learned so much as both a professional and person in this role.

I’m so humbled by all that we accomplished over the last 15 years. We managed a recession, bet on new product categories, expanded internationally, sold the company, bought a new company, navigated the unexpected pandemic and grew to be the largest and oldest wallpaper company in North America.

As many of you know, I have spent the last years sprinting at full speed. I am now using this opportunity to enjoy more time with my family and continue my passion by diving deep into the design world. I am now taking on projects in residential development. I’ll share more on my design journey in the coming months.

Thank you for all your support over the years. My biggest request is to please keep in touch! I can’t wait to see all we will continue to do together.

Yours, Ashley
